Finally!!  We found what we were looking for, the elusive trilobite!  After a couple
hours of searching and just before sunset we found the spot where they were
hiding.  Only bits and pieces could be found but I was very happy anyway
because this was the first time I had found any part of one.

Then, just as we were walking out of the quarry, Brittany spotted a monster
peeking through the weathered rock.  It was just lying there waiting to be
collected.  The pictures below are from Brittany of the fossil I tried to steal on
numerous occasions!

The city of Sylvania runs a park near the quarry called "Fossil Park" where the
quarry operator dumps truckloads of the silica formation for people to dig
through.  The quarry doesn't use the shale so it is a winning situation for all.  The
park has wash stations, fossil ID signs, and tools such a brushes.  More
